approriate to sb./sh.是“對某人/某事來講很適合”的意思。又如：
The book is appropriate to young children.
appropriate for sb/sth中的for含有“目的”的意思。 如：
Jeans are not appropriate( to us )for a formal party.在正式聚會上（我們）穿牛仔褲不適合。
The room is appropriate for a reading room.這個房間適合用來做閱覽室。
兩個都是正確搭配，只不過是意思有所不同。
