1?It would be best if you could provide some more context to be sure - but I suspect that this is a metaphorical reference to a game of cards where you have no choice over which cards you receive (you are dealt a "hand" of cards), you must simply try to play the game as best you can with those cards.

The college I attend was supposed to have this awesome runway show called ?Project Runway IRSC?. Students who wanted to participate had to pick a model to style their hair, makeup, outfit, and even pick a song for them to walk to. I was super excited because my long-term goal is working backstage at fashion shows. Apparently I was the only one who was excited because the day of, I was the only one who showed up prepared and with a model?.what the heck guys? I still got my extra credit, but I was a little let down that I didn?t get to show out. I put a lot of thought behind this, and learned to sew in the process.I bought a black pencil skirt at Charlotte Russe for $20. I sewed the bottom of an old red tutu I got from Hot Topic to the bottom of the black skirt.

After I had the tutu sewed on I went out and bought some red yarn and a new deck of playing cards, so I could sew some of the face cards onto the skirt. Ironically enough when I opened the deck there was card advertising for ?poker? clothes. The card said ?Don?t just play the hand your dealt?wear it?. I thought, ?This is perfect!?. It was meant to be.
