含義

thanks for強調謝的原因，意思是“為……謝”。

thanks to意思是“多虧了……”、“由於……的幫助”。

區別用法

thanks to為習語介詞，thanks不可以改為thank you，to後也不接動詞原形，這個短語表示原因，意為“由於”、“多虧”，to表示感謝的對象。如：

Thanks to the English language，we can learn a lotfrom other countries.由於英語這門語言，我們能從其它國家學到很多東西。

thanks for是客套用語，thanks相當於thank you，意為“因……而感謝”，for強調為何而感謝，其後可接名詞或v-ing。

Thanks for inviting us to your birthday party.謝謝妳邀請我們參加妳的生日聚會。

thanks to與thank…for

thank和thanks詞性不同。thank是動詞,要與you等連用，thanks是名詞,可單獨使用。具體用法如下：

壹、thank sb. for...=thanks for one's...“因為......而感謝某人”，for為介詞，後接名詞或動名詞，表示感謝的理由。

例：Thank a lot for your help.=Thank you very much for helping me.多謝妳的幫助。

二、Thank you=Thanks for...的常用答語有：You are welcome./That's all right./My pleasure./It's my pleasure./Not at all.等。
