The playmates in petticoats
Are now all grown-ups.
We don't realize the callosity of the father of times
Until recalling the days of the time.
It is at the present time
that we are intimate as of old,
Swaying one another
Leaning upon one another
Like flowers in wind.
Scores of years later,
We are still on this starlet,
Getting along together,
Weeping together,
Singing and laughing together cheerfully.
It is then,
Nearly beyond recollection,
That we can only vaguely remember the past events.
.
But the most important memory
Is treasured up in this Flowery Remembrance.
