There are two days in every week that we should not worry about,
two days that should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One is Yesterday, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and
blunders, its aches and pains.
Yesterday has passed, forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday.
We cannot undo a single act we performed.
Nor can we erase a single word we said - Yesterday is gone!
The other day we shouldn't worry about is Tomorrow with its
impossible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and poor
performance. Tomorrow is beyond our immediate control.
Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of
clouds - but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.
This leaves only one day - Today. Any man can fight the battles
of just one day; it is only when you or I add the burdens of those two awful eternities- Yesterday and Tomorrow- that we break down.
It is not the experience of Today that drives man mad -
It is remorse or bitterness for something which happened Yesterday, and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.
Let us, therefore, live One Day at a Time!
每個禮拜有兩天我們不用去擔心，沒有恐懼，沒有憂愁。
其中壹天是昨天，有過錯誤和憂慮、過失和失誤、辛酸和痛苦。
昨天已經過去，不再受我們控制。
世界上所有的錢都不能把昨天帶回來。我們不能為過去的事反悔，
我們不能擦去我們說過的每壹個字，因為，昨天已經過去了。
另壹天我們不用擔心的是明天，明天可能有逆境、負擔，
即有著很大的希望，又有糟糕的表現。明天同樣不為我們所控制。
明天的太陽會升起，不管它是光芒四射還是籠罩著雲彩，它壹定會升起來。
直到它出現之前，我們對於明天沒有任何把握，因為它還沒有發生。
只剩下壹天——今天。任何人都只能生活在“今天”；
當妳我背負起永遠存在的“昨天”和“明天”帶來的壓力，我們就會被壓垮。
使壹個人發瘋的不是今天的遭遇，而是昨天的悲傷或痛苦和對明天的恐懼。
因此，讓我們過好生活中的每壹天。
