fly與flight的詞性關系,

fly 和 flight 都是從古英語演化而來，詞源也都可追溯到印歐語系的詞根 pleu-，但這兩個詞之間並沒有彼此演變關系，甚至不被認為是同義詞。盡管這兩個詞在英漢詞典裏的中文翻譯都是“飛行”，但它們詞典釋義迥異：

fly：（動詞，名詞）To move through the air by means of wings or winglike parts. 通過翼展在空中運動，飛行；

flight：（名詞，動詞）The motion of an object in or through a medium, especially through the earth's atmosphere or through space； the act or process of flying through the air by means of wings.. 物體在大氣層內或太空運動過程，飛行過程；通過翼展在空中飛行的過程。

也就是說 flight 不是 fly 的名詞形式，fly 也不是 flight 的動詞形式。這兩個詞本身既可以用作各自詞義的動詞和名詞。
