為啥“over-perceive”和“under-perceive”被理解為“高估”和“低估”，而不是“重視”和“不重視”？

第10版韋氏詞典對perceive只有三條釋義：

1a. to attain awareness or understanding of(獲得對…的註意或理解)；

1b. to regard as being such(認為…是這樣)；

2. to become aware of through the sences(通過對…的感覺獲得對其的註意)。

從上述三個釋義可以看出，將原句中的perceive譯成“估”（to regard as being such）是合適的且是“本原”的。而被譯成“重視/輕視”則是根據語境轉譯的結果。
