go on: 通俗用詞,多用於口語中。go on+-ing表暫停後繼續做原事,即後繼續的內容與原來的內容相同。go on+不定式指做完某事後,接著做不同的另壹件事。

這幾個詞組都表示“繼續”的意思,但用法和含義上有差異。
go on意為繼續,不停地繼續,或停了以後再做。也就是繼續原來沒做完的同壹件事,其後可跟壹段時間的狀語,用go on doing sth。如果作“接著”做(不同的壹件事)解go on to do sth.。但它指的是壹個短暫性的動作,不能接表示壹段時間的狀語。

go on doing指做某壹事情因故暫停,尚未做完,再“繼續”做下去。它還可表示“壹直做某事”。如:
Although it was late, she went on working.

go on with 是壹個動副介型短語動詞,其後通常接名詞或代詞作賓語。如:
May I go on with my work now? 我現在可以繼續做我的工作了嗎?
