? 這首詩從壹位父親的角度闡釋了壹個人怎樣可以成長為真正的MAN，以及成長過程中所需要的責任感和優秀品質，對於現實生活中的我們都有很好的激勵作用。 詩歌***有四小節（stanza），每小節8行，每節詩歌按照ABABABAB的韻律，形式工整。詩人采用了排比、暗喻、誇張等修辭手法，在詩歌的最後壹句“And---which is more---you'll be a Man,my son！”點明了詩歌的主題（theme），也寄托了詩人對其兒子以及年輕壹代的美好期望。
