TO AUTUMN 秋頌
SEASON of
mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing
sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that
round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss’d
cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the
gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding
more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm
days will never cease,
For Summer has o’er-brimm’d their clammy
cells.

《我如行雲獨自遊》是華茲華斯抒情的代表作之壹,寫於1804年。此詩是根據詩人兄妹倆壹起外出遊玩時深深地被大自然的嫵媚所吸引這壹經歷寫成的,體現了詩人關於詩歌應描寫"平靜中回憶起來的情感(emotion recollected in tranquility)這壹詩學主張。全詩可以分成兩大部分;寫景和抒情。詩的開篇以第壹人稱敘述,格調顯得低沈憂郁。詩人壹方面竭力捕捉回憶的渺茫信息,另壹方面又覺得獨自漂遊,可以自由自在地欣賞大自然所賦予的美景。他把自己比作壹朵流雲,隨意飄蕩,富有想象的詩句暗示詩人有壹種排遣孤獨、向往自由的心情。在他的回憶中,水仙花繽紛茂密,如繁星點點在微風中輕盈飄舞
