向妳推薦英國女詩人克裏斯蒂娜·羅塞蒂的詩。壹直覺得詩人和兒童很像，都能看到普通人看不到的美麗風景，體會到普通人體會不到的細膩情感。而羅塞蒂就更是這樣壹個長不大的詩人，她的詩詞裏充滿了兒童般的純真，比如這首小詩：
What are heavy? Sea-sand and sorrow
What are brief? Today and tomorrow
What are frail? Spring blossoms and youth?
What are deep? The ocean and truth
整首詩歌就像是兒童的自問自答，用詞非常簡單，但是讀起來又充滿了深意。
還有這首叫作《誰曾見過風》的小詩：
Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you.
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I.
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.?
wind本來是無色無味，看不見摸不著的。但在詩人眼中，風卻是可以被看見的。雖然妳我沒有看見它，但卻可以通過顫抖的葉子和低頭的小樹，知道風兒已然經過。還是兒童的筆觸，充滿了對美的細膩感知。
但其實羅塞蒂的人生並不幸福，兩次戀愛都無疾而終。而且由於健康狀況不佳，她甚至向往著死亡。所以除了兒童般的純真，羅塞蒂的詩歌還有關於死亡的主題。在這些詩歌中，她既把死亡看作壹種解脫，又把死亡看作是與上帝和她曾經愛過又失去的所有親朋好友團聚的歡欣時刻。比如這首：
When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.
I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.?
