I have investigated for opinions on the usage of electronic dictionaries from various groups of people around, including students, parents and English teachers.
For most of my classmates, the e-dictionaries are helpful, easy to use and thus time saving. Also, the majority of parents value the merit of their tiny size and they think the price is reasonable. However, our English teachers hold the opposite view that the lemmas and relevant explanations in the electronic dictionaries are too general to help students understand new words well.
I tend to agree with the teachers that relying the e-dictionary will make us lazy and do harm to our further study, therefore I prefer using a paper dictionary instead.
