這是與微軟和大英齊名的電子百科全書。版權現在歸巴菲特所有。聽說曾經是蓋茨小時候最喜歡的百科全書，當然那時他看的不是電子版，而是厚厚的幾十本。我想這也是後來啟發他開發encarta的原因吧。使用下來的感受是他的界面比微軟和大英簡樸，多媒體內容不如微軟那麽多，所以容量也要比微軟小很多。但是它文字也比微軟簡潔易懂，所以更適合當工具書閱讀。也適合英語學習者學習。
